LA College is passionately committed to helping you succeed – both in your
studies and in your career.
As part of that commitment, we work on several levels to assist in helping
you attain your career goals. LA College’s Career Services Office works closely
with you in career planning and locating employment after graduation.
The experienced employment assistance staff meets and is in contact with
employers and placement specialists by phone and e-mail to obtain the most
up-to-date information about the current job market, job opportunities and
career trends. Career Services also helps to direct students to appropriate
job openings where available. In some cases interviews for available positions
can be arranged for qualified candidates.
To further optimize your placement potential, Career Services can also work
with you on developing an effective resume and can coach job applicants in
person or by phone on successful job interview techniques.
To receive the benefit of this employment assistance, you must have satisfied
all graduation requirements as stated in the catalog, submit a well-prepared
resume for review, complete the job application form, and be willing to work
closely with the Career Services Office to maximize your employment potential.
Although the Career Services Office works with you to optimize your success,
LA College does not make any promise of employment or starting salaries for
current students or graduates. The college reserves the right to refuse career
services to graduates who do not conform to its policies.
