We make it easy for you to apply for financial aid. Complete the steps below to begin the process.

Step 1: Apply for a Pin Number

Apply for a pin number at www.pin.ed.gov.Your pin number gives you access to your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and can be used to provide your electronic signature on the FAFSA.

Note: The pin number is unique for each person.If you require parental information, a parent may also register for a pin number.Do not share your pin number with others.

Step 2: File the FAFSA

The FAFSA is the financial aid application you will need to complete.

Once you receive your pin number, navigate to www.fafsa.ed.gov to complete the FAFSA application. The LA College International school code is 016355.

You do not need to have your tax information available to complete the application- simply use the "estimate" function when completing the income portion of the questionnaire. If you'd like a copy of your taxes, however, call 1-800-TAX-1040 for a copy of your return and answers to your income tax questions. Once you have completed the steps above, LA College International will automatically receive your FAFSA results.

Step 3: Complete Additional Financial Forms

You are now ready to fill out a few more forms to initiate your aid:

1. Navigate to the EdFund Website.

a. In the State menu select California.

b. In the School menu select LA College International. Click Continue.

c. Complete the following Forms:

i. Student Loan Checklist

ii. 2009-2010 Authorization Statement - Student

iii. Student Reference Sheet

iv. Letter of Authorization (Optional)

2. Navigate to the Loan Portal to complete a Master Promissory Note.

a. In the State menu select California.

b. In the School menu select LA College International.

c. Click Continue to view Lender Options.

Note: As an applicant, you can select any lender you like. You are not required to use any of the lenders listed on the Lender Options page.
